  5. As many of my friends from MMP and FB know, I have not been well. At times it is pretty discouraging as the conditions are chronic and must be accepted. In spite of it all I am very thankful for each and every day that I wake up and can continue to create beauty and convey encouragement in spite of obstacles, to others. It is the simple pleasures of life that bring us joy. Have a blessed holiday season and many more years of creating!

  9. Claudia,
I am thankful first and foremost to have God in my life, I am thankful he has blessed me with a loving husband of 39 years, who still opens my door for my and takes care of me, he is very attentive and my protector. God has also blessed successful DD’s and two wonderful GK’s, me with two beautiful and keeps them close to me. I am thankful that God did not call my DD home this year when she was in such a horrible accident and hurt so bad, it reminded us all of how important life is to us. She is healing with time but here with me what a blessing for me. I am thankful to have found all of you and the support you give to me, not having a family of my own outside of my immediate family you are all a blessing!
I am thankful for our military and their families who protect us each day; they are always in my prayers always.
My we all take a moment of silence to remember those who have lost their life’s to protect us and be thankful that they pay the ultimate price for us, being it military police officer, fireman and etc.
I love this give away and will be back daily to see what everyone is thankful for it will be a great inspiration for me!

  10. I am thankful for the life I have, a loving and caring husband and other family. For my home and everything in it and especially to my Mum (God rest her soul) or though no longer with us, she is still with me in spirit and keeps me going each day, without her I would not have become the woman I am today. Just wished I had told her that I loved her more when she was around.

Thank you for this post Claudia

  13. Hi Claudia, What a great giveaway! Reading through all the posts, I feel like saying I'm thankful for all the same things, my relationship with God, my loving husband and family, home, health, our military, community, my online family and friends, my memories of my mother and father, and the ability to be a creative soul everyday and do what I love most. I'm extremely blessed and grateful for it every second. There's not enough time or space to detail my thankfulness list, so I'm just glad God knows the contents of my heart. Thank you for helping us all think about counting our blessings. Here's to an abundant New Year for all!

  17. Claudia, This is a lovely giveaway as well as all your items on your website are beautiful. I love visiting often.
I am so thankful for so many things that this page could not hold it. It is the little blessings in life that mean so much to me, some of the things we often forget. I am thankful that I live in country that is free. I am thankful that all my children and grandchildren are safe, happy, healthy, and know the Lord Jesus. I am thankful that God gave me a sweet family of friends on Shabby Lane Shops to connect with, and I am thankful for my church where we feel loved and belong.
Most of all during this time of year, I am so thankful for the one who gave His all so we could have a life forever with Him. So during this season, I do not want to get overwhelmed with the material things of life that I forget that He is the reason we celebrate! It is during this season that TAKING TIME TO SMELL THE ROSES is so important too.

I would love to win this giveaway because it is so nice, but since God has blessed we with so much, even more than I need or have time to even work on in way of crafts etc, I ask that if I am chosen, inform me, but please draw another name and I want them to be blessed with it.

  18. Dearest Claudia,
Finally, the time to visit your blog. I was impressed with you and your site before, but after visiting your blog....You're something very special girl:-)
What I am thankful for, other than the obvious, is the chance I had to have a brick and mortar boutique called Big At Heart.
I had to shut it down a year or so ago for health reasons, because of all things it was too successful. Sounds nuts, but I am a diabetic and it totaled my feet.
I was able and am thankful to have been there when people were having hard times.
I recently had to clean it out and reread some of the Thank You cards from the people I was able to be a part of for a brief time.
Women coming in to shop for a dress or funeral or cruise or whatever the reason. I felt so happy to slip a small gift into their purchase, that they wouldn't see until they were long gone. Just to let them know that someone honored their "being" and cared.
I have so very many stories that would touch everyone's heart, from my store.
I hadn't realized how much it meant to some of people, until I read the cards from them just the other day. They were good people and I am thankful to have met them.
Most of all I am thankful for what my little 86 year old mother said to me this year. "I will never leave you Honey, I will always be there."
She isn't doing well now, but Thank You Mom for letting me know that, it will make it easier I hope."
P.S. This is a happy post, not a sad one, about how wonderful it is when people cross paths and leave each other a warm memory and about a beautiful 86 year old strong woman, who loves that I'm eccentric and loving.
    A small novel this is.
Merry Holidays and remember, you never know when you have really touched someone, even if it's just for a minute. They will feel it and remember it and I'm thankful for those memories.
    Love, Lenie

  19. I am thankful for everything in my life, but most of all for my absolutely wonderful husband, the only person in the world who can make me laugh when he knows I'm having a rough day. I'm so grateful for him! And I love my SLS family.

  20. Hi Claudia,
I am Yoli Kalkofen from Texas. I'm a 44 year old single mom of 2 teen kids, working full-time. I am thankful because in 2009 my life has been transformed and blessed by God. I feel like I have been given a new start. My job is relocating us from deep south Texas to Central Texas. It is a big move. In 2009 I got closer to my family and found so many new blogging friends for the first time. I'm thankful because God forgives and inspires.

Hope you have a blessed Christmas!

  22. Thanks for doing this give-away!

This is going to sound CRAZY but I am actually thankful for Facebook! I have been able to reconnect with some WONDERFUL friends from the past, and was even able to go to NYC to meet up with a bunch of friends from Summer Camp--people I haven't seen for 25 years! A lot of love and support has come into my life because of Facebook!

And of course, the most important thing in my life that I am thankful for is my little 4 year old, Alec--he makes me smile each day, and is the light in my life for sure!

Thank you again, Claudia, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!

  24. I am thankful for my kids, husband, parents, etc. My family basically. I am also very thankful because this year I was blessed with my first granchild, Trenton. I also was blessed with reuniting with an old friend that we had lost touch in the last few yrs. We found each other on Facebook. This was a very good year for this alone. The finances were bad but a grandchild and an old friend (along with everyone else), how could I be upset about those? Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope next year brings happiness to everyone.

  26. I am thankful to be doing what I truly love each day. Within the company of ladies who enjoy the same creative life and support me in mine. I have met so many fabulous people online and my life is so much richer because of it. It has allowed me to try things I never thought possible or that I would ever think I had the talent to pull off. 2009 has been a wonderful year! Of course, I am most blessed because of the love and health of my family/friends. Hugs to all, Tedi www.PetiteBookstore.com/blog

  27. 2 years ago my father went through 8 weeks radiation treatment and my mother suffered a sever heart attack and was in ICU for 9 days. The end of this year I'm celebrating that my mom and dad are doing extremely well and are healthy! It's been an excellent year!
